FOR STUDENTS APPLYING TO ART SCHOOLS
COMING SPRING 2023
An Art portfolio is not only a requirement for applying to Art schools and university Art programs, it is a major factor in deciding if you are selected to attend. Because of the importance of a well developed portfolio, you will want to begin building one as soon as possible - as early as Freshmen year of high school. A sloppy portfolio can make all the difference in whether you "get in" or not.
Find out what to look for when looking for the right Art schools for you, how to plan your portfolio and what you need to include, how to maintain your portfolio and photograph your artwork.
5 HOUR COURSE
Hey artists and crafters! Have you ever wondered if you should take your “hobby” to the next level now that you are selling? Have you asked yourself if you should be charging sales tax for what you sell? Have you ever told yourself, “Self, you should start your own business as an artist” but you don’t know where to begin or you are nervous to take that first step? If you have asked these questions and a ton of other questions about what you should be doing to grow or have researched on your own only to be totally confused, this is the workshop you need to take.

During student Art lessons, we will help build and strengthen a strong skills foundations to include composition, value, and an attention to detail and will stress the importance of these skills in both life and all vocations.
We provide a calm, open art studio environment for beginner and advanced artists to work independently, in groups and privately at their own pace and skill level. Art Lessons available for students age 8 through college and adults. Instruction includes learning base skills such as composition, value shading and perspective drawing - all skills needed for professional aspirations or just creating for enjoyment. Our teaching method is realistic and academic in nature - much like the masters - in that we teach you how to trust your eyes to draw and paint what you see. Most supplies are at your disposal however, you may be asked to invest in paper and/or canvases for projects. Art Journaling Group meetings held weekly for teens and adults.
